Modifying Attribute Values from Word or Excel

If necessary, you can modify the value of any of the linked ProjectWise properties from inside the document itself, without having to return to ProjectWise Explorer to do so.

CAUTION: When you are modifying attribute values from inside the document, make sure you do not click Update Document before you click Update ProjectWise. If you do, then any changes you made through the Custom tab will be overwritten with the current values from ProjectWise.

Note: If you modify an attribute’s value from Word or Excel but the corresponding attribute in ProjectWise is read-only, then the attribute in ProjectWise will not be updated when you use the Update ProjectWise command.
